Player's Code of Conduct
- I will play for fun while learning about soccer.
- I will be a good sport and cheer for both teams.
- I will obey the rules of the game.
- I will follow the golden rule and treat others as I would like to be treated.
- I will listen to my coach and the referee. They are helping me learn about soccer.
- I will attend all practices and games. I will arrive at least 15 minutes before games. I will tell my parents to contact my coach if I will miss a practice or a game.
- I will be respectful to the other players, the coaches, the officials, and the spectators.
- I will not have a bad attitude or use bad language.
Parent's Code of Conduct
- I will remember that my child is playing for fun while learning about soccer.
- I will be kind to my child's coach and the officials. The coach is a volunteer giving personal time and money to provide a recreational activity for my child. The coach is providing a valuable community service often with no reward other than personal satisfaction. Without my child's coach, my child could not participate.
- I will be a cheerleader during games. I will allow the coach to coach, the officials to officiate, and my child to play the game. I will not coach my child or other players during a game or practice unless I am an official of the team or I am asked to help.
- I will applaud the good plays of both teams. I will not engage in booing or taunting. I will not disturb other spectators with my words or actions.
- I will accept the results of games. I will encourage my child to be gracious in victory and turn defeat into victory by working towards improvement.
- I will not criticize, ridicule, or yell at my child or another player for making a mistake or losing a game.
- I will be a positive role model for my child by always displaying good sportsmanship. I will encourage my child to have good sportsmanship.
- I will teach my child that teamwork and being a team player are more important than individual achievements.
- I will not use profanity, make obscene gestures, or engage in any inappropriate conduct.
- I will respect the soccer fields. I will do my part to keep the soccer fields clean and I will ensure that my child does the same.
- I will leave my pets at home, since pets are not allowed on the fields.
- I will not smoke or vape on the fields at any time.
- I will address my concerns with the coach or official at an appropriate time and place. I will not interrupt practices or games with my concerns.
- I will inform a board member if a coach, parent, or spectator says or does anything inappropriate.
